A Wakefield coffee company is helping the region battle the arctic conditions that it’s currently enduring by offering a free cup of filter coffee to anyone who calls into their office this week. Pause, based on Thornes Lane are welcoming visits from anyone with cold hands, frozen toes and red noses as Yorkshire’s temperatures continue to plummet below zero.

Marketing Manager David Honan commented: “We take it for granted that most of us can grab a hot coffee whenever we want but there are plenty of people out there who can't. As a local business we want to do our bit to help the community cope with the cold snap. We hope offering free take-away coffee will help.
