pause... refreshment cues up extra coffee machines for the 2010 World Snooker Championship.

Every year thousands of snooker fans descend on the Crucible theatre to watch snookers finest battle it out to be crowned World Snooker Champion 2010. The occassion brings with it a hot drinks service challenge to Andy Cooper, the Crucible theatres service manager. Andy turned to pause... refreshment for additional coffee machines that needed to be mobile, easy to clean, self serving, no plumbing and free vend. I met Andy in the hallowed snooker players lounge and was forced to whisper to avoid breaking the concentration of a very famous snooker player who I'm not allowed to mention. I opened up the interview by asking Andy how long he'd been a pause... refreshment customer.
"We've been with pause... refreshment for the last fifteen years. They supply Sheffields Crucible Theatre, Lyceum Theatre & the Crucible Corner café with coffee machines, beans and ancillaries but when the World Snooker Championship swings round we have to boost our coffee service above and beyond our normal demand".

"They kitted the players VIP lounge & the media centre with flavia 400 machines and Therms."
"Did the coffee machines we supplied meet the brief?"
"Yes. The machines were a compact table top fit & lightweight too. We could easily move them around and the snooker players had no problem operating them".
"Any chance I could get a picture of Ronny O'Sullivan standing next to the flavia 400 coffee machine?".
"In a word no. The nearest your're going to get to Ronny is his autograph on the table over there".
"Which coffee machine did you set up for the snooker players?"
"The flavia 400 was set up in the players VIP lounge. If you can press a doorbell you can use this coffee machine and its a doddle to get up and running".
"Apart from the Crucible are there any other Sheffield theatres utilising pause.. refreshment coffee machines?"
"We have more of your machines in the Lyceum Theatre and we use your coffee beans for serving drinks in our café, "The Crucible Corner".
"Can we take a walk over to the Crucible Corner café to take a look?"
"Sure".
"I see you've got a La Spaziale traditional coffee machine what's the number one seller?"
"It's got to be the latte."
"Any chance of a free one?"
"The first ones free the second will be £2.50 including VAT."
"Thanks Andy for freeing up time and letting us see how our coffee machines are backing up the hot drinks needs of the World Snooker Championship. Any chance of a free slice of Tiramasu?"
